How To Fix 'ieframe.dll' Error In Windows 8 or Windows 8.1

This is an indication there is problem with one of your direct-link library(dll) files. It is the 'ieframe.dll'. By merely looking at the words you can easily understand they stand for Internet Explorer Framework direct-link library located at the 'System32' folder of your 'Windows' directory. This file is needed by your applications or web browsers to carry out their functions properly. When it it missing, corrupted or having wrong version in your system you are likely to have problems with your web browsers and other programs you installed on your computer before or after the error.

For those who have this trouble can remedy it without doing new installation or system restore. Even after Windows update you are still faced with the same problem but there is always easy solution. To do that follow the step-by-step information below.

STEP 1:  Move your cursor to the extreme right-hand side of your screen and click 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel' to continue.

STEP 2: Click 'Programs(Uninstall a program)' to continue.

STEP 3: At the 'Programs and Features' click 'Turn Windows features on or off'.

STEP 4: Clear the checked on 'Internet Explorer 11' and click 'OK' and 'Yes' on the 'Windows Features' dialog to continue.

STEP 5:  Restart your  system and click 'My PC' and double-click on 'Local Drive(C:)'.

STEP 6: Click on the 'Windows' folder and click on 'System32' folder.

STEP 8: Visit this LINK to re-install 'Internet Explorer 11'.


Note: After installation of Internet explorer 11 the right 'ieframe.dll' will be automatically installed in the 'System32' folder and that will solve every associated errors or problems with the file.

For those facing this problem in Windows 7 can use 'Unlocker' to remove 'Internet Explorer' folder from the 'Programs(x86)' folder .Download and install Internet Explorer 9.
