IEEE 802.11g Wireless LAN PCI Adapter: Ralink tech. Corp. RT2561/RT61 802.11g PCI Connection Problem

If you experienced a wireless connection problem with your wireless LAN PCI adapter during the time you tried to connect these steps are meant for you to follow in resolving the issue. Perhaps the problem came about after you have carried out your windown installation, maybe you mistakely uninstall the device driver or for whatever reason and you are not with the device driver on hand to do the installation.





Step 1: Check your computer management to see where the problem is emanating from by right-clicking on My Computer. Select Manage and click Device Manager .The device driver issue for your network would be mark on a yellow color questionmark - Network Card Controller, beneath Other peripheral.

Step 2: Download  AIDA32  and install it. It is used to identify your devices information as well as for network device driver name in this regard.

Step 3: After finding the name to be "Ralink tech. Corp. RT2561/RT61 802.11g PCI" then you can go to the Ralink website to download the appropriate one for your device. You can download it from  Ralink Tech. Corp RT2561/RT61 802.11g PCI for Windows . If you are on Linux you can downloa for linux here . It is advisable to download it to your USB Memory Stick to have it handy for speculative purposes.

Step 4: Then run the software from your Memory Stick that you have inserted into the USB port of the computer with the Wireless LAN PCI Adapter connection problem. Follow the instruction of the installation wizard on the screen till finish. You will see your network connection icon at your system tray.
