Registry Editing Has Been Disabled By Administrator

Registry Editing Has Been Disabled By Administrator, it`s typically caused by viruses which  attack most computers. If that repeatedly comes up when you try to get into your Registry Editor, simply run your Antivirus scan.

If your Antivirus has been put on to protect your system before you witnessed the registry problem, disable it and check if the registry works. If it doesn't work, the following steps will help you to restore back your Registry Editor.

Step 1: Go to your Start ---> Run and type gpedit.msc

Step 2: At your computer Group Policy box that popped up click on [-] User Configuration .

Step 3: Move on to [+] Administrative templates and on to doubleclick [+] System .

Step 4: Search the list of items on the right side of the box on your screen Prevent access to registry editing tools and double click on it.

Step 5: On the next Popup, there are Setting and Explain. On Setting are items:

1. Not configured

2. Enabled

3. Disabled.

While Explain gives information about the setting on which you are at(so do not border yourself with this section).

Step 6: If Not Configured has been marked upon on arriving highlight enabled and move back to highlight Not Configured. Go to file and exit.

Step 7: After you are through with these processes and the registry is still giving the same old problem , then, you can go on about your system RESTORE(this will definitely solve the problem). On who to do system restoration visit this link .
