Downloaded Files Disappear In Internet Explorer

Every time a file is downloaded upon reaching to completion it quickly disappears. One thinks it is problem with the location where the file is being saved missing at first instance. To the utmost surprise the location folder meant for downloadable files is opened while looking at the particular file being  downloaded disappear from it when completed.

Thoughts about the cause are different though. The very idea of thinking it is due to Spyware or Anti-virus becomes obvious as one gets clueless with finding solution. The attempt to scan the computer system with anti-spyware and antivirus proves there is nothing like malicious attack on the Windows operating system. It later turns out to resorting to speculations. After doing some Google searches  only to find out solutions proffer never yielded any success.

If you are experiencing this problem and wondering about what to do there is a quick way in resolving it. Follow the steps below to solve the problem.

However, the following steps apply to most Internet Explorer versions. I am using 'Internet Explore 10 for demonstration.

Step 1:  Open your 'Internet Explore' browser.

Step 2:  Click on 'Tool' at the Menu bar(more like the Toolbar).

Step 3:  Move down and select 'Internet Options'.

Step 4:  Look for 'Advanced' and click on the tab.

Step 5:  Click on 'Reset advanced settings' button.

Step6:  Click on  'Apply' and 'OK' to close the Internet browser.

Step 7:  Restart you Internet Explorer browser and download your files.

Tips: You can select execute from your download dialogue if you don't want to save it to the system to avoid a situation of locating the downloaded. The file is usually located at  Download folder/directory.

On locating your downloaded file, click 'View download' and look below 'Location' in the next window dialogue.
